In recent months, there has been quite a bit of
talk about next-generation Chevrolet models. We’ve seen
previews for quite a few, including the Camaro, Spark, and
Malibu. Of all of these, the latter is arguably the most
important, as it competes in the midsize sedan segment, which pushes 2.2 million
vehicles annually.

The new Malibu debuted yesterday at the New York
Auto Show, and boy, is it a looker. The front end is more aggressive, blending
elements from the new Impala and Camaro for an imposing look that really stands
out. But looks aren’t all that make this sedan tick. It’s interior is more
spacious than ever, and it features some of the best gas mileage in its
segment.
